The legal predecessor of our company was established in Budapest in 1952 with the original name of "Kispesti Elektromos és Finommechanikai KTSZ?. The most important sources of income were the manufacturing of outdoor sound radiators, electric light installation, repairing radio receivers and winding electric engines. The orders were continuously growing, that made possible to established another factory in the city of Gyöngyös, in 1964. The company changed its name to "ELEKTRIS Ipari Szövetkezet" in 1966. Significant efforts and resources were put into the continuous product improvements and developments. As a result we have a quite broad product portfolio. The outdoor sound radiator family has grown in size and power range, as well. The manufacturing of current transformers goes back to 1962. Over the past decades considerable amount of knowledge and experience was collected in this field. The low current technology was introduced in the company in 1970 with the manufacturing of multi-sound sirens (named PRESSTON) and low frequency amplifiers with an impressive output power range 150-1200 VA. The explosion-proof sound radiator family was developed according to the needs of mining, gas, oil and chemical industry. Our co-operative was bisected in year 1993. An extensive growth in our investments was carried out to increase productivity with new machines in the production line which allows us to fulfill our customers? requirements at a reasonable price level. The manufacturing of toroidal transformers started in 1995 after passing the tests of MEEI. Our product range enriched with ERISTON 500SB amplifier, current transformers for 3 phase, sound radiator for application in locomotives, sauna controller with microprocessor, power supply according to individual claims, explosion-proof sirens and amplifiers, amplifier systems for special requirements and microprocessor controlled sirens for police.
